9 Impact on Social Work Social workers play a part in world affairs  Counseling and aiding refugees;  Facilitating international adoptions;  Providing disaster relief in times of crisis;  Developing, managing and staffing international service-delivery programs like the Red Cross; and,  Researching international issues with a focus on improving people’s quality of life and addressing injustices. Environmental Sustainability & Global Partnerships The world’s problems are everyone's problem.
