They are first when day's begun To tough the beams of morning sun, They are the last to hold the light When evening changes into night. A thousand things that we daily see; We plant the spire that out-towers the crag, We plant the staff for our country's flag, We plant the shade, from the hot sun free; We plant all these when we plant the tree.

7. Webs sparkle on the lawn like diamond necklaces at dawn. Shiny droplets- small oases- beckon spiders to their places. Silently they look and lurk. Time now for spider work.
