Sustainability Pretest Please write your definition of sustainability. What is the world’s population? How fast is it growing? List ten needs of an average US citizen. List ten needs of an average Ghanaian citizen. How many years at the current rate of consumption will Earth’s amount of coal and oil last? What body(ies) of water supply Tacoma’s water? How many gallons of water do you use each day? How many people can Tacoma’s water source(s) support?

Sustainability Pretest Cont. What is: Intergenerational equity? Systems thinking? Biomimicry Tragedy of the Commons? Poverty? What are some of the shared values we all hold? What are some of the names of indicators and indexes of progress with which you are familiar? What is globalization? What is microcredit? What are human rights? What are multilateral organizations? Provide one example of an environmental concern you have.
