We will now be looking at the concept of Ground Bass Copy this down then Ground bass – A theme in the bass which is repeated many times while the upper parts are varied. GROUND BASS

The word pedal comes from the Latin (pes, Pedis) and relates to the foot. Pedal A pedal in music either relates to parts of an instrument used by ones feet Or A note which is held on or is repeated continuously in the bass beneath changing harmonies. PEDALS
