Paddler Fundraising Each paddler is encouraged to raise $100, which will help clean 20 linear feet of stream in the local watershed. Help us reach our goal to raise $30,000!

Fundraiser Prizes Dedicated Fundraiser Drawing: Every team member who raises $100 or more on or before race day will qualify for a drawing to win a Wilderness Systems kayak package ($750 value)! Highest Fundraiser: Choose from a Wilderness Systems kayak package ($1500 value) or a Live Watersports stand up paddle board package ($1500 value). 2nd Highest Fundraiser: Wilderness Systems kayak package ($1000 value) or a Live Watersports stand up paddle board package ($1000 value). All prizes are donated by HOOK1 Kayak Fishing Gear.

Race Format Each team will race in Heats 1 and 2. Your times will be averaged and the fastest 12 teams will advance to Round 3. Teams will be seeded in Round 3, from A-C Divisions. The fastest team in each division will win a division plaque. All 12 teams are eligible for the Gold/Silver/Bronze. A race protest should be communicated to Chief Marshall who will contact Chief Official. DO NOT make contact with the finish line. More race info & details at nashvilledragonboat.org

Race Schedule Teams will marshal 20 minutes before their race in Round 1 to allow time for team photos. Then they will marshal 15 minutes early in Round 2. If you do not have eight (8) female paddlers, 3 seconds will be added to your race time for each male that fills a female spot. If you leave the seat open, you will not be penalized. Any boat without a drummer will have.5 seconds added to your race time. The drummer must beat the drum. Help us stay on schedule! Races will not be delayed for late paddlers. Racing will be delayed if there is lightning.

Team Practices One hour water session with professional steersperson from Dynamic Dragon. You will learn how to paddle a dragon boat, technique, strategies, etc. Paddles, life jackets, and boats will be provided. Team members should sign waiver online BEFORE practice. Last minute registrants can sign paper waiver on race morning. Practice Location: TBD - Either East Bank Landing or Riverfront Park *Pick up your wristbands and programs before/after your practice session! Wear clothing that can get wet!

More Race Details Race times will be posted on the scoreboard near the finish line area. Drummers Parade between rounds 1 & 2. Everyone can vote with $ on their favorite drummer. Steerers auction between rounds 2 & 3 No outside grills. Absolutely no outside alcohol allowed. No intoxicated paddlers will be allowed on the boat.

Logistics Parking & Unloading Captains will receive team unloading passes for race day so you can unload your tent and gear at the corner of Victory Avenue and Titans Way. Participants: $3 for day in Lot R of LP Field Public: $5 Lot D of LP Field We recommend you ask your team to arrive at your tent an hour before your first scheduled heat. First race will be around 8 am.
