You may submit only one LRP application to NIH in any fiscal year, even though your research may be appropriate for more than one of the programs

General Eligibility Requirements Citizenship: US Citizen or Permanent Resident Doctoral Degree: – Physician Doctorate: MD or DO – Academic Doctorate: PhD, Dr PH, EdD, or ScD – Physician Doctorate/Academic Doctorate: M.D./Ph.D. – Professional Clinical Doctorate: DDS, DMD, DVM, ND, OD, PharmD, PsyD Qualified Educational debt – Equal to or greater than 20% of base institutional base salary Domestic, non-profit research funding Qualified Research – 50% time (at least 20 hours per week)

Equally competitive for men and women, but more women receive health disparities contracts.
