Ahab’s Credentials – I KGS 16 v. 30 --- evil in the sight of the Lord v. 31 --- “walked in the sins of Jeroboam” + he married Jezebel v. 32 --- he is committed to Baal v. 33 --- he is committed to other gods “and Ahab did more to provoke the Lord God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him”

Choices I. Their Confusion -There was a great deal of confusion that came from the mixed messages they were receiving from their leadership -Jezebel -Ahab -Elijah

Choices II. Their Options -v. 21 --- “How long halt ye between two opinions? If the Lord b God, follow Him: but if Baal, then follow him.” Option #1 --- serve God Option #2 --- serve Baal

Choices III. Their Choice 1. Elijah’s Words 2. Elijah’s Actions v. 21 v. 39 -The children of Israel ultimately chose not to serve God.

JOSHUA 24:15 “Choose you this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
