2 Ahab’s Credentials – I KGS 16 v. 30 --- evil in the sight of the Lord v. 31 --- “walked in the sins of Jeroboam” + he married Jezebel v. 32 --- he is committed to Baal v. 33 --- he is committed to other gods “and Ahab did more to provoke the Lord God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him”

3 Choices I. Their Confusion -There was a great deal of confusion that came from the mixed messages they were receiving from their leadership -Jezebel -Ahab -Elijah

4 Choices II. Their Options -v. 21 --- “How long halt ye between two opinions? If the Lord b God, follow Him: but if Baal, then follow him.” Option #1 --- serve God Option #2 --- serve Baal

5 Choices III. Their Choice 1. Elijah’s Words 2. Elijah’s Actions v. 21 v. 39 -The children of Israel ultimately chose not to serve God.

6 JOSHUA 24:15 “Choose you this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
