The AAC : promoter of the Atlantic Strategy A - Mobilization of the Atlantic Arc Commission –1989 : first step towards an integrated approach for the Atlantic Basin –Acceleration : 2009 (after two other macroregional strategies for the Baltic and Danube) –Council : Action towards the Spanish Presidency –Contact with Member States –European Commission / consultation phases –European Parliament (MEP Alain CADEC : resolution March 2011) –Sectorial organizations Written contributions : contribution documents (technical paper, political paper, questionnaire, answer to the EC consultation, proposals of orientation, etc.)

The Atlantic Strategy is crucial to the development of the Atlantic Marine Economy But also to the economic development of the Atlantic area in a wider sense The AAC is the link between the Atlantic Regions, the Member States and the European Institutions The AAC is ready to participate in the Forum and to be the spokesman of the Atlantic Regions 9 Conclusion
