... “Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him, and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases.... These women were helping to support them out of their own means.”

“God in the flesh came to earth and chose to live and minister off the ongoing gifts of individuals. Let’s, you and I, choose to as well.” (Steve Shadrach)

Principles: God ordains that religious workers (OT Levites, NT pastors, teachers, evangelists) are to be supported by the gifts of others. Jesus was enabled to minister full-time by a group of faithful women who supported Him out of their own means.
15
Paul lived on support when available and made tents when necessary. God prompts people's hearts to give. It is biblical for Christian workers to inform others of their needs. We are to pray and trust God and thank Him for His provision.

Ministering to Our Partners “Fund-raising is, first and foremost, a form of ministry. It is a way of announcing our vision and inviting other people into our mission.... Fund-raising is proclaiming what we believe in such a way that we offer other people an opportunity to participate with us in our vision and mission.” (Henri Nouwen)
