1 Welcome Welcome to the National Curriculum Test meeting. Please browse through the test papers on your tables. We will be starting at 3.15pm. During this meeting we hope to answer any questions that you have about the National Curriculum Tests. All of the slides are on your handout.

5 National Curriculum Timetable Monday 11 th May to Thursday 14 th May Monday – Reading Test (1 hour) Tuesday – Grammar and punctuation test (45 minutes) followed by spellings Wednesday – Maths A (45 minutes) and Mental Maths Thursday – Maths B (45 minutes) (Level 6 tests A and B (30 minutes each))

11 How can I prepare my child for NCTs at home? Read with them Encourage them to learn important maths vocabulary and concepts Encourage them to learn their tables (blue sheets) Encouraging them to complete their homework Use the CGP Books for homework Write a “little and often” Use the Internet for revision Plenty of rest Eat breakfast and drink water
