A Day in the Life Do Now – Analogies, idioms, word play Grammar – Caesar’s English, grammar tests and writing mini-lessons Two 30 min. blocks – Independent reading, literature circle meetings, read alouds, and independent studies

Homework Reading Unfinished class work – Literature Circle Responses – Research Springboard draft writing – Once every 2-3 weeks 20 – 30 minutes per night

Social Studies is cross- curricular – Reading Skills – Writing – Research There are eight strands of social studies – History – Geography – Economics – Government – Citizenship – Culture – Science/Technology – Social Study Skills
