Pre Enrollment There will be a label on the outside of the packet that your child will receive that tells you everything that you will need to return by the 21 st of February. There will also be a letter inside of the packet that gives you step by step directions. Don’t forget to include a current utility bill with service address! Gas, water, or electric will be accepted. **NO CUT OFF NOTICES** If you are on an affidavit you still need to provide a current utility bill with your Intent to Enroll form. Will be in packet! Electives fill up fast so to insure your child receives the classes they want, please turn in on time! Pre AP / AP Courses Pre-Advanced Placement and Advanced Placement course are offered in: English Math Science Social Studies Art World Language Music Moore’s Pre AP courses are vertically and sequentially aligned in order to prepare students for AP coursework. Therefore, a student NOT taking Pre AP in one grade level may have his/her readiness adversely affected for the Pre AP or AP courses at the next grade level.

Curriculum Choice Letter Senate Bill 982 Parents may Opt their child out of the college prep track. Curriculum. Main differences 1. College Prep: Must take 2 years of the same foreign language or Computers. Core Curriculum: Foreign Language/Computers not required 2. College Prep: Must take 1 unit of Fine Arts. Core Curriculum: Must take 2 Units of Fine Art courses Which may include, but not limited to, courses in visual arts and general music. 3. College Prep: Must take Algebra II Core Curriculum: Can take Intermediate Algebra (with parent signature) for 3 rd required math credit. You will just check the box that you wish for your child to be enrolled in. Core Curriculum College Preparatory

End of Instruction Testing The State of Oklahoma requires that all students entering 9 th grade must demonstrate mastery of the state academic content standards in the following subject areas in order to graduate and receive a standard diploma. Students must pass: and 2 of the following 5: Algebra IAlgebra II English IIEnglish III Geometry Biology I US History ** Common Core is being added in the near future and at this time we do not know how that is going to affect your student and these requirements.**

Certificate of Distinction Students who meet the specified requirements will be recognized as graduates of distinction. They will wear a green cord during the graduation ceremony and be recognized in the graduation program. 4 Units of English 4 Units of Math (In grades 9-12) 4 Units of Social Studies 4 Units of Science 2 Units of World Language 2 Units of Technology, the Humanities, or the Arts Must have a minimum of 3.25 GPA on a 4.0 scale Must pass ALL of the EOI exams

SPORTS Requirements Must have a current physical every school year! See coach for physical form. After school participation IS required for all sports during season. Some sports require you to provide transportation to practice site. IF you have questions you can go to our website and click on Co-Curricular Tab, Scroll down to Athletics and you can e- mail the coach for the particular sport you are interested in and they can answer all of your questions! In order to participate in competitive activities, a student must have passed 5 classes the previous semester and be currently passing all classes. Specific implementation of this policy will follow the regulations established by the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association.

NCAA Any student that is going to participate in a college athletic program under the guidance of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is responsible to register with the NCAA Clearinghouse and complete all high school coursework needed to satisfy the NCAA’s requirements. All questions should be directed to the head coach of the related sport and/or the site athletic director. If your child is not affiliated with any tribe then all you have to do is fill out 1 st 4 lines. Name, DOB, MHS, & 9 th. Parent Consent Forms do not worry about advisor’s name.
