8 How My Disability Affects Me in the Classroom It affects me because when it is time to get work done, I’m trying to socialize with people. When I don’t pay attention, or when I am talking to another person, teachers have to repeatedly keep reminding me to stay on task. Listening to music while working, and extra time to complete tests and quizzes are my accommodations When I change facial expressions, teachers could remind me to calm down. Study a lot more often, turn in homework as soon as possible, and playing less video games will help me be successful.
