For a circle, 𝐴𝑟𝑒𝑎= 𝜋 𝑟 2 Note: 𝜋 is 3∙14 𝑟 is the radius Radius, the distance from the centre of the circle to the outside edge. 𝑟

5. The Area of a Triangle
For a triangle, 𝐴𝑟𝑒𝑎= 1 2 𝑏ℎ Note: ℎ is the perpendicular height 𝑏 is the base ℎ 𝑏

6. The Area of a Trapezium For a trapezium, 𝐴𝑟𝑒𝑎= 1 2 ℎ(𝑎+𝑏) Note:b
