3. Heading A heading is at the top of the page telling what the story is about.

4. Bold Words A bold word is written in dark type because it is important. Example: A volcano is really big and it explodes.

5. Glossary The Glossary is at the end of the book. The bold words are important. Example Pugs have canine teeth. Canine-sharp teeth.

6. Table of Contents The table of contents tells you where to find information in the book. For Example: What Do Ants Look Like…….p 5 Groups of Ants………………..p 9

7. Diagrams Diagrams are pictures. Sometimes arrows are used to point at parts of the diagram. antenna
