Standardised tests Assess the New Zealand curriculum Standardised (tried and tested on large numbers) National averages Determine how individuals are doing compared to students of the same age across the country Identify high achievers – accelerate Identify students needing support ‘One test, on one day’ – ‘Bad hair days’ Cross reference several results
