Centralized access to external information means that you can display content from the internet (or your local network) inside your Trimble Connected Community Organization.
In the enterprise edition, configure your commonly used sites and all the information you need to get you survey job done.
This is particularly useful if you access a lot of public internet sites, for example government geodetic databases, online cadastral data and survey plans, or base station availability and data downloads.
This is done with the use of the webframe Gizmo
The benefit is a much more convenient way to access the data you need to get the job done.

When you enter your credentials, you log in your own set of data held within your Organization.

The base level of the Trimble Connected Community is an Organization
Owning a Trimble Connected Community Organization means users can

The Organization is granted a specific number of users that can access information placed on Sites and Pages
You could purchase a TCC Organization for:
your entire company (eg Bob’s Surveys) OR
a sub section (eg Bob’s Surveys Cadastral Department).
Typically, one the Trimble Connected Community organization is required for a company
Organizations are set up to be hidden from the greater Connected Community.

29. Structure: Sites An organization can contain one or more sites.
A Site is used to group similar data together.
For example, a survey project site to contain all files and information for the project.
Typically use one site per field project
The Site is the landing place for files which are transferred from/to the field by the AccessSync service.

A Trimble Access Site typically contains
a page for a project communication forum and survey field data

Project Communication Tools – what does that actually mean?
Primarily, they allow you to place content / information for other people with access to your organization to view.
In TCC, these tools are called “Gizmos”
We go into these in more detail later…
There are two versions of the Trimble Connected Community
Enterprise version; all gizmos are available in the enterprise version.
Survey Edition; of which only Files, GeoPicture Viewer and Forums are available.
