5. Alexis climbs the ladder to his house to drop off the wood he has collected.

6. If his family have enough food that day, he will eat a little before going to school, which starts at 7:30am.

10. Alexis is taught maths, Spanish, natural sciences and social sciences. He also does physical education and art and learns about the culture of his tribe – the Emberá.

14. The tattoo dye is made from the jagua fruit.

19. She weaves them together to start creating a basket.

20. The basket is almost finished.

21. Criseria makes the finishing touches to her basket. Larger baskets are made and used for storing things.
