2
Math TEKS Kindergarten Compare times (11B) First Grade Describe time on a clock-hours, half hours (8B)
3
On any day that ends with Y, I do things just the same. I check the clock to see the time, it becomes a little game. Would you like to play?
4
It’s morning time, so very early. The sun is up, and so am I. What time is it? I can not tell, would you like to try?
5
The little hand is on the six, the big hand is on the twelve. What do you think?
6
IT’S SIX O’CLOCK! 6:00AM
7
Now I’m heading off to school. What will I learn today? Will I learn to tell time? I hope it is fun! If it’s hard, I won’t give up, NO WAY!
8
This looks different than the last clock we saw. The big hand is on the six, and the little hand is between seven and eight. What time could it be?
9
IT’S SEVEN-THIRTY!! 7:30AM
10
It’s lunchtime now, and this sandwich looks good! What time is it? Will somebody help me? Oh how I wish YOU would!
11
What does the clock say? I’ll give you a clue. It’s one hour after twelve and one hour before two.
12
That’s right! IT’S ONE O’CLOCK! 1:00PM
13
What time is it now? It’s time to make dinner. This time game’s a snap. I’ll for sure be a winner.
14
What time is this? What does the clock show? I’m not really sure. I think maybe you know.
15
IT’S SEVEN O’CLOCK! 7:00PM
16
Boy am I tired! It’s been a long day! I’ll need a good night’s sleep before I can get up to play.
17
This clock tells me it’s bedtime, but what time is that? I know, now I know! I’ve got this time thing down pat!
18
IT’S NINE-THIRTY!! HOORAY! 9:30PM
19
Sometimes telling time is not easy, but it’s important to try. We tell time everyday, well on any day that ends with Y. The End
