2. Welcome Stanley On his tour around the world Flat Stanley visited our school.We are in Greece and our town is called Trikala.It is in Central Greece.

4. Some information about our school Our school is not very big.There are about 120 students in it.There are 10 classrooms a computers room,a gym, the headteacher’s office and the teachers’ room.We have got a big playground,a basketball court and a canteen.

6. On the day of equality among students We tried to convey our message for students’ equality through our drawings.

7. Our class There are 30 students in the 6 th grade of our school so we are divided in two classes of 15 students each.Our classrooms are quite big and beautifully decorated with maps pictures and drawings.

13. Tour around the town One day we got on a bus and took Stanley to the castle of Trikala.

14. Some information about Trikala Trikala is a beautiful town in Central Greece.There are about 80,000 people living in Trikala.It is a quiet town with a lot of shops, cafes and restaurants.There is not much traffic and most people ride their bikes around the town.There are a lot of places of historical interest for someone to visit in Trikala.There is the castle,the Mosque,the old town called “Varousi” and the river Litheos crossing the town and splitting it in two parts.

15. The castle The castle was built in the 6 th century on top of a hill overlooking the whole town.There is a wall around it and a big clock.

16. This is the clock of the castle.Today a lot of exhibitions take place there.

17. Inside the wall of the castle there is a small theatre where a lot of concerts and performances are held in the summer.

19. Below the castle there is the old town called “Varousi”.

20. One of the old buildings in the old town which was painted by artists and looks like everything is real.

21. The Mosque After the old town we visited the mosque.It was built by Prince Osman Shah son of SultanSuleiman in the 16 th century.It is a protected monument by UNESKO.Today a lot of exhibitions take place here.

22. The river Litheos One of the greatest attractions in Trikala is the river Litheos crossing the town and splitting it in two parts.

23. Christmas in our town One of the greatest attractions in our town at Christmas is “The Mill of the Elves”.It is an old mill in a beautiful park and during the Christmas holidays a lot of events take place,like concerts,dancing or even magic tricks performed by magicians.There is a fun fair,a carousel,fairies and of course Santa Claus.
