Welcome! This is my seventh year at Timberwood Middle School I have set goals for us to achieve this year This should be a safe and productive year for all of us

A bit about me… You may call me “Ms. Fred” I have 1 child I am married

A bit about me… Attended from 1995-1997 then from 2003-2006 Graduated Magna Cum Laude Majored in education

A bit more about me… I served in the US Navy for 4 years 1997-2001 I was stationed in San Diego in a Marine training squadron VMFAT-101

Why I became a teacher I sometimes struggle with math I’ve found I can help others with their own struggles I tend to explain things differently I also run things differently

Late and Incomplete work Late work will be deducted 10% each day late. Late work will become a 50% after five working days. All work that is turned in incomplete will receive a grade no lower than a 50%.

ZAP (Zero’s Aren’t Permitted) If your work is 1 week late you may be “ZAPPED”. Your parents will be notified if you need to be “ZAPPED”. You will receive a 50% for “ZAPPED” work.

Tutoring I am here early every morning at 7:30 am. You may come in to tutoring starting at 8 am. My afternoon tutoring is on Wednesday from 4-5pm. I tutor algebra students on Monday afternoon Don’t forget to sign in!

Retesting/make-up testing policy You must come to tutorials for test corrections before you are eligible to retake a test. Make-up tests will be a different test than what is given in class Testing tutoring will be held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. Retakes and make-up tests must be completed before the next unit test!

Required Daily Materials Pencil Eraser Binder with paper in it 2 ½ to 3 inch binder with a separate math section Do Now! Notes (must contain graph paper) Handouts/homework/tests (do not do your homework on your notes!!!!!! EVER!) Colored Pencils Straight edge or ruler graphing calculator (TI-83 and up) (optional)
