Grace Upon Grace
3
Jn 1:1, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
V14, And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, full of grace and truth.
4
V15-16, John bore witness of Him, and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.’” For of His fullness we have all received grace upon grace.
5
Grace comes upon us like waves upon waves without end.
Gift after gift after gift. One blessing after another blessing.
6
V17-18, For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father’s side, has made him known.

“You need have told me noting
“You need have told me noting. This house is not mine but Christ’s … You are hungry and thirsty, and so you are welcome … Let me assure you that this is more your home than mine. Everything in it is yours.”

“So, here you are. I can’t believe that you forgot the candlesticks
“So, here you are! I can’t believe that you forgot the candlesticks! They are silver like the rest. You must not forget your candlesticks.” “Jean Valjean, you no longer belong to what is evil but to what is good. I have bought your soul to save it from evil thoughts and the spirit of Hell and I give it to God.”
11
Grace changed Valjean. Let Grace change you.
Heb 12:15, See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. C. S. Lewis wrote, “A man whose hands are full of parcels can’t receive a gift.”
12
The A list consists of people who have helped us and so they deserve good gifts.
The B list consists of people who were not helpful but we are obligated to give them gifts so you buy them cheap gifts.

What is truth? Here is the truth whenever he forgives a sin he pays for it with his blood – with a lash on his back, a nail in his hands or feet. The Bible said, “He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; for by his wounds you have been healed.”
