My Strategies for when God seems Silent

In my humanity I experience this: Psalms 10(1) Why do You stand afar off, O LORD? Why do You hide Yourself in times of trouble? Psalms 28(1-2) NLT I pray to you, O LORD, my rock. Do not turn a deaf ear to me. For if you are silent, I might as well give up and die. 2 Listen to my prayer for mercy As I cry out to you for help, As I lift my hands toward Your Holy sanctuary. Psalms 83(1) A Song, a Psalm of Asaph. O God, do not remain quiet; Do not be silent and, O God, do not be still. Psalms 22(1) My God, my God, why have You forsaken me? Far from my deliverance are the words of my groaning.

I Ask…. what if God is not silent? What if I'm not Listening!? Psalms 34(3-4) O magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together. 4 I sought the LORD, and He answered me, And delivered me from all my fears. Vs. 15 The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous. And His ears are open to their cry.

I Listen to His Voice through the Word of God John 1(14) And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 5 (39-40) You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me; 40 and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.

Effective Communication If it seems like God is not speaking to me, could it be possible because I'm not to speaking to Him? Or maybe I'm asking the wrong questions? Or am what if I'm asking Amiss? Phil 4(6) Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Is it possible that you and I need to find new language when speaking to God? (Old Covenant or New Covenant?) Romans 8 (38 -39) For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I will re-visit times of an encounter. Jeremiah 6(16) Thus says the LORD, “Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, Where the good way is, and walk in it; And you will find rest for your souls.'' “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” Jesus The rooms of present encounters with God are opened when we remember the doors that previously led us to His throne in the past. 7 I will confront known areas in my life that are out of Kingdom Alignment. If I know that God has told me attend to certain relationships or “areas'' in my life and I haven’t followed through, it does effect my intimacy with God, not His Intimacy with me. Non compliance is the devil's wax in my ears, hindering my ability to hear God's voice. KINGDOM ALIGNMENT positions me for blessings! Hebrews 3(7-8) That is why the Holy Spirit says, “Today when you hear his voice, 8 don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled, when they tested me in the wilderness.

I will rededicate my allegiance. Joshua 24:15 If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. "I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same."

I will trust more, not less because God has eternal purposes my life! Rom 8(28) And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Psalms 46(10a) “Be still, and know that I am God." Jeremiah 29(11) ''For I know the plans that I have for you,'' declares the LORD, '‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.''

I believe He is for me not against me! Hebrews 10(22) Let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Hebrews 11(6) And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Matt 6(33) But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

I Break the silence through faith. 1. I believe His ears are open me, because of Jesus. 2. I will listen to the voice that sounds like Jesus. 3. I will follow through on what I have already heard. 4. I will stay in Kingdom alignment. 5. I will continue to dedicate my life to God. 6. I believe He has destined me for His Purposes. 7. I believe He loves me and desires relationship WITH ME.
