Assignment Description Each student will teach a total of seven lessons throughout the course to Crestwood Middle School 8 th graders A lesson plan and reflection paper will be expected with each lesson taught (see lesson plan template) Each lesson will be evaluated by me (see class lesson evaluation form) Lesson Taught 10pts, Lesson Plan 10pts, Reflection Paper 5pts

Lessons Set Induction – students will introduce themselves to the class, present an introduction to a lesson and compile student information by survey Motivational Lesson – students will choose a high interest topic on their own, create a lesson plan and teach

Lessons Construct a Concept – students will design a lesson and mini-experiments that are consistent with Ohio Standards for construct-a-concept objectives Simple Knowledge - students will design a lesson and mini-experiments that are consistent with Ohio Standards for simple- knowledge objectives

Lessons Student Based Lesson – students are to design a lesson that focuses on student inquiry and encourages students to communicate with mathematics Teacher Based Lesson – students are to design a lesson that incorporates teaching strategies that have been learned in class with special detail to individual student learning styles and utilization of best teaching practices such as tiering and differentiation

Lessons Technology – students will design and teach a lesson utilizing technology such as computers, mathematical software, graphing calculators, ect.

Assignments Technology Software Review Students will discuss how you should evaluate software by generating a form to assist with the evaluation Students will then evaluate 2-3 software choices and complete the software evaluation form

Assignments Literature Activity Students will create a lesson plan that incorporates reading and mathematics The student will produce an artifact from this lesson that will included in their teaching portfolio

Assignments Portfolio This will include all assigned questions from the text (approximately 45) 225pts. This will include all class activities (descriptions and standards correlation) 50pts.
