Two-Factor (Schachter-Singer) Theory Adds a cognitive component to emotion. Proposes that we can interpret identical physical sensations differently according to context. There are TWO FACTORS at work: physiological arousal and cognitive interpretation of arousal Think “S” for Schachter-Singer and “S” for situation Link to color afterimages Link to sensation seeking behaviors (bungee jumping)
