2. Lewis and Clark’s Expidition Lewis and Clark’s expedition started on May 21 st, 1804. The first portion of the expedition followed the route of the Missouri River. They passed through Kansas City, Omaha, Missouri, Idaho,and Nebraska. Once they reached the Great Plains, they saw the area’s many species.
