5 Enabling the “Global” in “Global Vigilance, Reach and Power!” What Is ATP-56(B) Document Is Derived From ATP-56(A) ATP-56(A) Is Currently Used By NATO Nations (Including The U.S.) Today Insufficient Guidance Guidance Is Not Standardized Or Mandatory New Revision Is So Significant It Has Become ATP-56(B) (Instead Of Being Called ATP-56(A) Change 1) Format Is Completely Different Guidance Has Changed From ATP-56(A) U.S. Compliance Is Mandatory – Not Recommended

Provides A Reference Document Covering Procedures, National Air To Air Refuelling (AAR) Equipment And AAR Capable Aircraft. This Will: Provide Guidance For NATO, National Commanders In Order To Promote The Effective Employment Of AAR In NATO Air Operations. Lead To A Better Understanding Of National AAR Capabilities Among NATO Forces. Promote Mutual AAR Support Among Suitably Equipped NATO Forces. Promote The Development Of Mutual AAR Tactics And Procedures.
