3. The Abaser: Honor or abasement in this life are not final. Allah may raise people and abase others in order to put everyone to the test. But the real good and true Honor come with the purification of the self. If man rebels against Allah and pursues evil, his nature will be abased to the lowest possible position. Those arrogant people who deny the unity of Allah are destroyed. The day of Judgment is described as"abasing, exalting" because on that day truth will prevail and falsehood will be abased. Things will be really what they seem to be. Repentance is to be ashamed of what one has done.
