1. Peer Editing Share your essay with the peer on your left. Read the requirements for Use of Language on the scoring guide. Look through your peer’s essay for elements in that section. Go back and review for conventions- don’t fix them, just mark them as incorrect.

2. Convention note As you score your peer’s paper, if you notice a WOD error ( incomplete list below), circle it. Its/it’s; there/their/they’re; where/were/wear/we’re; which/witch; to/two/too; then/than; here/hear; knew/new; affect/effect; except/accept; your/you’re. Semi-colons need to have a complete sentence on each side. Colons must be used correctly: complete sentence leading to the colon, and additional information after.
