3. WHAT IS YEF?  The fund is set up to provide an entry point to long-term employment through a job placement that offers the chance to learn work skills while earning an income  Fund kicked off Sept. 23, 2013 Start dates have begun for training/placements!

4. WHO IS ELIGIBLE?  A person between 15- 29 years of age  Unemployed but with a career goal  Not participating in full-time training or education  Resident of Ontario

5. TRAINING COMPONENT  Includes short-term, non occupation- specific training  Directly linked to a job placement

6. WHAT TYPES OF TRAINING? Examples of eligible training could include but are not limited to:  Written/oral communications (e.g. public speaking)  Health and Safety (e.g. first aid, WHMIS)  Business Skills (information management) or  Technology (word processing) The training cannot exceed eight weeks in length.

7. OTHER SUPPORT  Work Clothes, Footwear  Equipment, Uniforms  Tools, Supplies  Child Care Expenses  Transportation Costs (i.e. gas cards, bus tickets)
