5. LEFT SIDE – RIGHT SIDE ORIENTATION The Left side is “left” for you. This is the side that you can use to show me your creativity, critical thinking skills, and reflections. The Right side is “Restricted” and contains teacher guided notes. Nothing else should be placed on the Right side!!

18. MAINTAINING THE INTERACTIVE NOTEBOOK No ripped out pages or torn corners Notebook should only be used in Social Studies. (No other classes!!) Date and number each page Notebook should be brought to class EVERYDAY!

19. MAINTAINING THE INTERACTIVE NOTEBOOK If you need to add a page, simply use either glue, tape, or staples to place in the correct side. For example, pretend I handed back a quiz from last week. Go to that date, and simply attach the top of the page to the top of your notebook page. If you run out room for notes, DO NOT flip over to the next page! Simply grab a loose leaf sheet of paper and add it on top of that days page.

20. YOUR TURN Now, on the left side of your notebook, YOU create some type of graphic organizer or visual representation about how to use your Interactive Notebook. (This is where you use color, creativity, imagination, and whatever skills you prefer to complete the task!)
