5 Line of Learning Lesson 5.6- Stakeholder analysis Question: What do I know about the stakeholders we have identified and how will I use that information to better serve them with this project? date your entry. ®

6 Standards Statement ® Students will be utilizing reading and writing skills along with the understanding of the needs of their community to create a profile for the stakeholders that will be used as documentation for their project. Standards: NGSS HS. Engineering Design HS-ETS1-1, CCELA/Literacy – WST.11-12.2, WST.11-12.3.

7 Engaging Prior Knowledge ® Review the information that you have compiled to this point. Narrative reflection of special needs Reflection of community observations Socioeconomic data from the community Demographic information Compilation documents from the community needs. Discuss: What are important details that will impact our project?

8 ® Jigsaw Activity Use your notebook  Read through the information  Each member of the group will choose one of the following lessons to be the “Experts”  Narrative reflection of special needs  Reflection of community observations  Socioeconomic data from the community  Demographic information  Compilation documents from the community needs.  Create a short synopsis of the information that you will share with the group. Stakeholders

9 Share out Whole group ® Discuss  What kind of needs do we see within our community that are represented by a faction of the community?  What are their characteristics?

10 Create a Persona and a Scenario ®  Look through the information you have gathered  In your group divide into two groups  One group create a scenario of your project  The other group create a persona

11 Review the Rubric ®  To ensure the best quality, review the Rubric that gives specific information about a about how to create the best document

12 Discussion ®  Did your persona and scenario give “life” to your potential stakeholder and secondary stakeholders and their needs?  Read your scenarios to your group and give feedback.  How can you improve your scenario or persona?  Determine the representative persona or scenario to the group.  Look over the rubric to determine how your writing will be graded.

14 Reflection Have you..  Examined relate demographic, cultural socioeconomic needs of the underrepresented members of the community through the persona and the design scenarios?  Did this investigation give a fuller understanding of the needs of underserved members of the community and their caregivers?  Used researching skills and critical thinking skills to be able to synthesize the information from the data into a reflective document that gives a snapshot of a need in the community? ®
