Computer Corner Defaults Settings Present a danger May allow others to access your network and your data May accidentally attract devices that slow down your network connection

Computer Corner What are the Defaults Settings? SSID – Wireless Network Name Administrator Name Administrator Password Key Network Settings (IP Address, router settings, security)

Computer Corner SSID Station Set Identifier (name of your wireless network) This should uniquely identify your wireless network when you connect your wireless devices.

Computer Corner Administrator Name and Password Many have a default “admin” Create a name that is not easily guessed Having no password is asking for trouble Write your settings on a piece of paper. Do not create a file and save it as “router settings”
