Informit e-library and Medi-Text http://www.informit.com.au/ Informit e-Library is an e-press for Australian and Asia-Pacific information developed by RMIT Publishing. Informit e-Library provides access to full content from a range of journals, monographs and books, conference proceedings, research papers and reference materials. Meditext is a full content online database linking articles from over 120 medical and health journals to records contained in the Australasian Medical Index (AMI). Source documents include journals, conference proceedings, government reports, selected monographs and National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) session reports. While the AMI database does not contain Australian records from the MEDLINE database (1966+) we have been indexing some key Australian journals since 2001 which are also covered in MEDLINE. Subject coverage includes all aspects of health and medicine, with an emphasis on clinical medicine and paraprofessional fields. Recommendation : Watch its development, as there is a lot of unhappiness with Blackwells Synergy for Australian and Asian publications, since its sale to Wiley. This may be the only source for this regions materials in the future.

MDConsult-Clinics expansion from Core to Basic Clinics Collection All titles are now available A la Carte as well. Foot and Ankle Clinics is priced at $1,884.00 A la Carte. The per-title rate decreases in the Add-On of 20 Clinics, and by adding this package, UCONN would obtain browsable TOCs for all Journals and Clinics in MD Consult. This is a very valuable feature as you all know how hard it is to search in MDCOnsult with a citation. Additionally, access would be on both the MD Consult platform via the portal link and on the Science Direct platform. Archival rights are same as for Science Direct. 20 Clinics = $26,284.00 - 10% = $23,655.60 ($1,182.78/title) Cancel 7 print subscriptions $2,187 (not on CORE), bringing actual UCHC cost to $21,468. Recommendation : Purchase Basic clinics which adds 20 clinics to the 31 we have on CORE, including these print versions: Dental Clinics, Hand Clinics, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Neurosurgery Clinics, Nursing Clinics, Clinics in Plastic Surgery, Clinics in Podiatric Medicine. Foot & Ankle Clinics and Clinics in Podiatric Medicine & Surgery are new requests for 2008, also not on CORE.
