Project Description U.S. 150 / S.R. 56 from east of C.R. 225 W (Indian Boundary Road) to west junction of the intersection of U.S. 150 / S.R. 56 and S.R. 37 / First Street Project length is approximately 1.7 miles, not including the Project Exception at a bridge over Tributary of Lick Creek

Project Need Numerous substandard geometric features Inadequate vertical curvature Substandard roadway super elevation and cross slope Inadequate storm sewers for drainage Substandard sight distance

Existing Facility Rural 2-lane roadway west of Willowcreek Road; Urban 2-lane roadway with periodic left-turn lane east of Willowcreek Road Two 12-foot travel lanes with curb and on-street parking on one side in urban section 2-foot shoulder width in rural section One substandard vertical curve Inadequate intersection sight distance

Roadway Rehabilitation Project Rural Section Minor Arterial (Built-Up) Design speed of 50 mph Traffic volume projected for year 2035 is 7,820 vehicles per day Urban Section Minor Arterial Design speed of 30 mph Traffic volume projected for year 2035 is 11,480 vehicles per day

Roadway Rehabilitation Project Rural Section Horizontal and vertical alignment will be maintained Lane assignments will remain the same Pavement section will be scarified 1.5 inches of asphalt overlay Super-elevated curve correction

Roadway Rehabilitation Project Urban Section Horizontal and vertical alignment will be maintained Pavement section will be milled and overlayed with 1.5 inches of asphalt U.S. 150 / S.R. 56 will be shifted to the south adjacent to Crestwood Manufacturing and to the north near Maria Radcliffe Park to avoid impacts to both properties Two-lane section widens to 3-lane section west of Dollar General Two 11-foot travel lanes and a 12-foot two-way left-turn lane will be provided On street parking to be eliminated

Roadway Rehabilitation Project Urban Section Curb and gutter will be replaced Passing blister at Willowcreek Road Pavement patching of distressed areas Sidewalk will be replaced to meet ADA requirements Traffic signals will be replaced at intersection of U.S. 150 / S.R. 56 and Elm Street and intersection of U.S. 150 / S.R. 56 and S.R. 37 / First Street

Drainage Rural Section Drainage along the roadway will be provided using existing roadside ditches and storm sewer where required Urban Section New storm sewer system that outlets to Lick Creek will be installed

Maintenance of Traffic Due to moderate traffic volumes and lack of a nearby alternate route, traffic will be maintained along U.S. 150 / S.R. 56 during construction This project will require multiple phases and the use of flagging

Real Estate Acquisition Approximately 5.1 acres of permanent r/w to be acquired for reacquisition of existing r/w Permanent r/w estimates based on information available at this time 0.5 acre of permanent r/w An additional 0.2 acre of temporary r/w will be required R/W estimates based on information available at this time

Real Estate Acquisition Process "Uniform Act of 1970" All federal, state, and local governments must comply Requires an offer for just compensation Acquisition Process Appraisals Review Appraisals Negotiations
