Introduction 2 nd International Workshop on Economic Census, Seoul, Republic of Korea July 6-9, 2009 Economic Census: Census of Philippine Business and Industry (CPBI) designated statistical activity conducted every five years 2006 CPBI: 14 th in the series of economic censuses 1903, 1918, 1939, 1948, 1961, 1967, 1972, 1975, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1994, and 1999.

Unit of Enumeration 2 nd International Workshop on Economic Census, Seoul, Republic of Korea July 6-9, 2009 The statistical unit or unit of enumeration used in the 2006 CPBI is the establishment, defined as: “an economic unit under a single ownership or control, i.e. under a single legal entity, engaged in one or predominantly one kind of economic activity at a single fixed location.”
