Where is Love? Luke 10 – Good Samaritan
It’s a good question in a cold world full of cruelty.

What is Love? God is Love 1 John 4:8 1 John 4:9 1 John 4:10
The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 1 John 4:9 God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. 1 John 4:10 This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. GOSPEL: God loves you. He wants: RECEIVE Love.
3
What is Love? God is Love Therefore:
If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. 1 John 4:20 God is Love Therefore: Rejecting God means rejecting love. If you don’t love others, you don’t love God. ** RejectionGOSPEL ** Xians LIE! ** 1Jn.=CLEAR

Where is the Love? Manmade Religion Not in manmade religion.
One day an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this question: “Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?” Luke 10:25 “How can I earn my way to heaven?” It’s all about me. Manmade Religion Xians can make MANMADE RELIG.

Where is the Love? Not in manmade religion.
Love is the essence of biblical ethics. The man answered, “‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” Luke 10:27 Jesus replied, “What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?” Luke 10:26 “Right!” Jesus told him. “Do this and you will live!” Luke 10:28 ** I.e., essence of the biblical message. Not “Pray 3x / Day” Character of God: “Be LIKE ME!” Nobody has EVER lived up to it. Who claims they can do this?
