Today, there are a wide variety of Urban format niches available – just as exists among general market formats. The exact makeup of a specific Urban format may vary based on market conditions. Urban Contemporary Features Urban flavored dance music interspersed with R&B, Rap, Hip-Hop and Contemporary Hits. Targets Adults 18-34. Churban Mixes CHR, Urban, Latin and Dance music. Targets Teens and A18-24. Urban AC Plays hit black music from the ‘60’s, ‘70’s, ‘80’s and ’90’s. All songs are typically smooth and relaxing without Rap or Dance. Targets A35-54.
