Hardware- parts of the computer that you can touch and see like the monitor and keyboard Hotlink/Web link/Hyperlink- a linkage between one site and another site usually displayed as text or an icon HTML- Stands for Hyperlink Markup Language and lets you see special text like underlined, green, bold, and italics text IM-(Instant Messaging) the way you can talk to your friends online or in a chat room

Server- one computer that stores info for many other computers Sound Card- a part of the computer that outputs sounds and can record through a microphone Spy Ware- software that sends info about your internet to your computer Soft ware- A program that tells what the computer needs to do. Like the controls

URL- (Uniform Resource Locator) internet address that you press go to go to a web site Upload- to transmit data to a computer, network, etc. USB-(universal Serial Bus) a personal computer that can support plug-and-play Video Card- a circuit board that displays information and graphics on the screen
