Teacher-Parent Communication Significant part in academic success Weekly communication –Folder with work (needs to be signed & returned) –Progress reports (every 3 weeks) –Volunteers!!! (your child and I would love it )

Classroom Discipline Agreements: 1. Show respect to others & belongings 2. Use cooperation and listen to what everyone has to say. 3. Be a cooperative learner 4. Be open-minded to others’ ideas 5. Be a risk taker and try new things 6. Be a confident inquirer and ask questions 7. Show tolerance of others 8. Be enthusiastic when learning

Behavior Consequences Start “Ready to Learn” Can move up or down Get one warning “Teacher’s Choice” –(I chose consequence) If you move up you will –get rewarded!

Rewards Class Dojo –Online app (daily points, parent login, monthly reward) Table Points –(on task, working, collaboration, etc.) Credit Card stamps –Spirit Day, University Day, Behavior, Jobs, improvement, etc. (weekly) Raffles –Hot Tickets (bimonthly)

Homework Assigned Monday-Thursday Due each morning with homework folder! Please look over assignments for neatness

New Standards! Common Core 21 st Century Learning 4 C’s (Communication, Creativity, Collaboration, Critical Thinking) Big on Technology! –Computers, ipads, emails, online assignments, etc.
