Who Are BSA Alumni? Scouting alumni include all those who have been positively impacted by the Boy Scouts of America: Former Scouts Their family members Volunteers Scouters Community leaders Tens of millions of Americans who benefit from Scouting

The Three R’s The BSA Alumni Connection program encourages alumni to: Reconnect with Scouting friends and mentors as well as Scouting programs in their area Rekindle enthusiasm for Scouting and the values it represents Re-engage and become active in Scouting again

The BSA Alumni Connection program offers many benefits to Scouting alumni: Renew Scouting friendships Experience Scouting activities Be part of the 100th Anniversary Celebration Create a professional network of other area alumni Get updates on what’s happening in your area Give and earn recognition

New Alumni Opportunities Submit photos and stories an the online scrapbook Earn a series of commemorative patches through A Year of Celebration, A Century of Making A Difference. Volunteer at100th Anniversary activities and events. Attend Scouting family reunions through the Generations Connection program. Make donations that directly benefit Scouts in [CITY/REGION] area. Nominate Scouting mentors for the National Hall of Leadership.

How Do They Reconnect? There are three ways for alumni in our area to reconnect: Complete the online form on www.BSAalumni.orgwww.BSAalumni.org Fill out a BSA Alumni Connection postcard and mail it to the [COUNCIL NAME]. Call the [COUNCIL NAME] and speak with [COUNCIL CONTACT].

Top 10 Ways [ORGANIZATION] Can Help 1.Publish an article for your club newsletter or Web site about Scouting. 2.Link to www.BSAalumni.org. 3.E-mail or send a letter to your members about the BSA Alumni Connection program. 4.Schedule a speaker to talk about the BSA Alumni Connection and the 100th Anniversary of Scouting. 5.Work with [COUNCIL NAME] in support of Scouting activities or events in our area.

6.Refer the BSA to other organizations that may want to get involved. 7.Complete a service project for the A Year of Celebration, A Century of Making a Difference program. 8.Take a picture of the Scouting Alumni in your [ORGANIZATION] and submit it to the BSA 100th Anniversary scrapbook. 9.Host a BSA Alumni gathering. 10.Gather volunteers!
