8 Role of the PHARMACY TECHNICIAN: The role of the pharmacy technician is to assist the pharmacist in any area that does not require professional judgment. Prince George’s County Public School System

9 Some Duties of a Pharmacy Technician include, but not limited to: Verify prescription information. Prepare medication per pharmacist’s request. Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, measure and mix medications. Select containers and prepare labels. Prepare insurance claim forms. Establish and maintain patient records.
