10 Pharmacy Technician Certification: Exam Composition 90 multiple choice questions, 10 of which are pretest questions that do not count towards final score 2 hours given for exam but includes time for brief tutorial 66% - assisting pharmacist in serving patients process personal data for patient profiles check prescription for accuracy and completeness process prescriptions with billing information fill and prepare medication for pharmacist to check 22% - maintaining medication and inventory control systems place orders for medications and supplies place supplies in inventory under proper storage conditions quality assurance 12% - participating in administration and management of pharmacy practice more quality assurance update and maintain patient profiles in accordance with HIPAA procedures and policies for sanitation and destruction of pharmaceuticals and supplies

11 Pharmacy Technician Certification: Work as a Licensed Technician To be licensed: will need to get fingerprinted and send in a passport sized photo along with an application fee (total ≈ $100) Retail setting such as Longs or Walgreens Hospital pharmacy Compounding pharmacy High volume pharmacy
