7 UNC-Pembroke: UNC-Pembroke will conduct on-site admissions at Purnell Swett on October 12, 2012 from9:00-10:30. Students should have completed application, SAT scores and application fee of $45.00. Please sign up in Guidance for appointment time.

10 The Voice of Democracy Program Students in grades 9-12 can compete in The Voice of Democracy Program by writing and recording a broadcast script on an annual patriotic theme. Students that are interested in applying for this scholarship see Ms. Karen or Ms. Kathy in Guidance for the application. The deadline is October 22, 2012.

11 The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards Program recognizes high school youth grades 9-12 solely on the basis of volunteer work in their communities after September 1 st, 2011. School Nomination is required. Students interested in applying for this scholarship see Ms. Karen or Ms. Kathy in Guidance. The deadline is October 30, 2012.

12 AES Engineers Scholarship AES Engineers scholarship deadline is October 5, 2012. The scholarship will be awarding $500 to the winner(s) each year. 21 Teen Violence!!!! Join the fight against Teen Violence Program by bringing awareness about bullying to your school on October 7- 13 and on National Stop bullying day October 10 wear blue to show your support against bullying.

40 Science & Engineering Fair Workshop UNCP will be hosting a regional science fair workshop for teachers working for students on science fair projects or anyone conducting local science fairs.
