XTP Scientific objectives Scientific Problems One Singularity (BH), Two Stars (NS and magnetar), Three Extremes (gravity, density, magnetism) The effective area of focusing telescope has been confirmed to be the breakthrough capability of the merged mission. The unique polarization measurement capability has been selected as the distinguishing feature. XTP will open a new window using its powerful capability of polarization observation.

High energy X-ray Collimating Array Sketch map of One HCA module CZT detector is applied. The collimator is made using Lithographie - Galanoformung - Abformung (LIGA) technique. Nickel, hole size 170*170μm, Grid thickness 30μm, Height 0.6mm

Wide Field Camera The WFC is to monitor the transient X-ray sources and to localize them with an accuracy of 5 arcmin. With the slew of platform, other instruments will be guided to make follow-up observations.

LM-3C launch capability The launch capability of the LM-3C for LEO mission into a 200 km circular orbit with an inclination of 28.5 deg is 9,100 kg. 550km & 28.5 deg ~ 6 t. Altitude easy to be changed. Inclination angle NOT! 13 LM-3C launch capa. for GTO orbit
