Preacher & Fellow-Brethren Both Have Work To Be Done Preacher responsible to preach properly Take up the sword of Spirit, the word of God Must speak boldly as we “ought to speak” Continue even in hardship or persecution Brethren responsible to pray for preaching “With all prayer and supplication…” “Praying at all seasons…” “Watching thereunto in all perseverance…” “On my behalf, that utterance may be given…”

Colossians 4:2-5 2 Continue stedfastly in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving; 3 withal praying for us also, that God may open unto us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds; 4 that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak. 5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.

Open Doors of Opportunity Always opposition to great & effective doors of opportunity (1 Cor. 16:9) Door now open to Philippines will close in time The Lord is the ultimate source of doors being opened (2 Cor. 2:12) God’s providence has, can & will open doors Open doors are provided to those God knows will use them (Rev. 3:8) If refuse to use opportunity, God will not grant
