38
FLKRS/ECHOS™ Overview How is the ECHOS™ administered? Teachers observe students to determine what they know and are able to do and record their observations (on the FLKRS Class Record Form). 38
39
FLKRS/ECHOS™ Overview Administration Requirements ECHOS™ should be completed by a teacher, trained in its administration. NOT Kindergarten teachers may NOT administer the ECHOS™ to students they taught in VPK. 39
40
FLKRS/ECHOS™ Overview Frequency of Demonstration once The behaviors and skills prescribed in each benchmark need to be observed only once for the appropriate indicator to be entered. 40
41
FLKRS/ECHOS™ Overview Planning for Observations Teachers should remember the behaviors and skills they want to observe Teachers should observe the behaviors in context Incidental observations Planned observations 41
42
FLKRS/ECHOS™ Overview Planning for Observations With careful planning, it is easily possible to complete FLKRS/ECHOS™ for a class of students within the first 30 school days, using various types of class activities.
