2 Introduction Airspan has recently announced the acquisition of Radionet What does Radionet bring to Airspan? –Ability to provide WiFi based solutions Backhaul applications – a lower cost alternative to IP Only AS3030 ptp solution Outdoor WiFi Hotzones –We see the future of broadband access being networks with a mix of WiMAX and WiFi –This is driven by the possibilities of adding vertical applications by leveraging multiple interfaces on client devices – eg. VoIP, FMC Specialist Applications –Heavy industrial –Connectivity to Urban Rapid Transportation Systems (Metros) WiFi solutions will co-exist in a network using all Airspan’s current access technologies (ASWipLL, AS4020, Proximity, AS.MAX)

7 Specialist Applications ViaNET is a heavy duty industrial hardware platform housing two WiFi 802.11a/b/g radio units ViaNET hardware is available in Access Point and Mobile Terminal (Client) versions Used in conjunction with CrossNET software, it provides the means for “make – before – break” connections to be made to a moving (60-80km/h) terminal device (eg. On a train) –Ideal solution for providing un-interrupted broadband connectivity to transportation systems which have predetermined routes and no access to other wireless networks (such as UMTS) – eg. Metro lines VoIP Services Streaming Video Time / constant connectivity critical security connections ViaNET
