By the numbers… ■ 321,000 – job vacancies Nebraska will need to fill between now and 2018 ■ 207,000 – vacancies that will require postsecondary credentials ■ 236,000 – Nebraska adults who started, but never finished, a degree program (25% of adult population) Why it’s important for adults to complete a degree

■ Of Nebraskans 25 and older: – 24.8% have a high school diploma (including equivalency) – 25.2% have some college but no degree – 10.5% have an associate degree – 22% have a bachelor’s degree – 9.5% have a graduate or professional degree Adult Learner Degree Attainment in Nebraska This 25% could help fill the need for skilled workers in Nebraska if they finished their degree
