Goals of the Program Bridge a gap between the number of people with disabilities who need employment services & programs offering quality services. Assist people with disabilities to find a meaningful job matching their interests, skills, and abilities.

Sponsoring Agencies The Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) Funding source for eligible consumers Partners include local employers Networks include Youth and Adult agencies who share resources and encourage referrals

Employers & VALIANT Services By developing a relationship with businesses to gain insight about their operating and staffing needs, this allows VALIANT to customize its services to meet the specific needs of the employers.

What are the benefits? Benefit the community by reducing area unemployment. Provide a qualified applicant that meets the employer’s job requirements, thereby increasing job retention rates.

What are VALIANT Services? Job Placement: Consumer who needs minimal to moderate resources for learning or performing skills to obtain & maintain a job. Supported Employment: Consumer who requires maximum resources including extended services after case is closed.

More Services Job Coach/Trainer: assistance learning a job and natural supports Vocational Adjustment Training: 20-30 hours to acquire personal & social skills needed to participate in job development.

Deborah Wolf: VALIANT Certified Employment Specialist 3 credits from Bachelors degree, Associate’s degree in Paramedicine, licensed paramedic (LP), (CPhT) 4 years providing employment services for people with disabilities Community safety, health & career education trainer
